The manufacturing of bullet resistant glass requires a lot of metal.
The metal-mechanics area is a key factor in the strategy of I+D de Optima. We develop and manufacture our molds and steel tabs.
Freezing
To capture the original curvature of the windows, metal-mechanic work “in-situ” is required. We have qualified staff to carry out this task at each of our commercial stores reducing, therefore, time when developing new models.
Curving Molds
We develop our curving molds for new models in a record time and we keep a file of molds for previous models in case our clients require repositions.
Steel
We generate files to guarantee dimensional accuracy of steel with respect to the windows. Steel is cut by using laser cuts.
We control the polishing process of the steel edges. The bevel angle is relevant to reach a better adjustment of bullet resistant glass to the car bodywork.
Each new vehicle model is a whole set of data that requires top engineering
We design, print and transfer our own designs, to our in-house produced silk screens, to guarantee the highest definition in our paints.
